Cameron started Preschool!

Cameron started Preschool at Miss Amy's. Brooklynn went to her too and loved her.

We read The Kissing Hand. It is a great book that helps kids when they go to school and are nervous. (still Brooklynn's 3rd year in school I kiss her hand every day for her to save if she needs it.)

With Brooklynn in school all day and Cameron gone 2 days a week we have more McKenna/Mommy time.

Brooklynn- First Grade

Brooklynn started First Grade! I can't believe she is going to school all day. She was nervous, but also brave. I had to be there the first day, so I hobbled my swollen tummy and arm to her school. We went to pick her up and she wasn't where she was supposed to be. We didn't know what to do. Ryan got out and started looking for her. Then we parked and I got out and went to her door, she wasn't there either. I went inside the school looked in her class and there was no sign of her or her teacher. As I was making my way to the front office I saw her with the Principle and her teacher. Phew! Thank goodness. Her teacher thought that she was riding the bus and took Brooklynn there, but there was no bus number on her paperwork. So she waited at the office. I am glad that they took good care of her. It scared Brooklynn and little, but it gave us a lot to talk about and made a plan. I am so proud of my Brooklynn Rylee!

Another Surgery- August 2012

I had to have surgery the end of August. For me it was routine, I guess you could say, but not enjoyable. It was my 12th Laporoscopy in 11 years and hopefully last. Normally after surgery I recover fast and am up that night. This time it wasn't the case.

The poor kids didn't know what to do with out me. They were constantly in my room laying in bed with me.

Brooklynn tried to spend as much time as she could with me, her first day of school was the next day.

It was the hardest for Cameron. As wild and crazy as that boy is, he is a big time momma's boy. I love my kiddos.

Days passed and I still wasn't getting better. I was having chest pressure and my arm was numb. It was really annoying and I knew something was different. I went to the ER and they did a CAT scan to rule out blood clot in my lung and sent me home telling me it was gas and to just rest. I knew better and kept feeling worse. I went back to the ER, but a different hospital. I could tell they too didn't believe me and thought I was a whiny girl. Let me just say I am tough, I have never EVER complained after a surgery. I can deal with the pain and can handle it all, but this was so different. I had called my OBGYN earlier and he told me to go back to the hospital. Over the phone he told me that he thought I had a blood clot in my arm. I told the doctor that and he said, "We can rule that out to make you feel better." So they did the ultra sound on my arm and guess what? I had a blood clot in my arm. How did two ER doctors, miss it and not believe me and my doctor was able to diagnose me over the phone? I think that my doctor knows me, he understands that I know my body and I don't really complain for no reason and so he actually listened to me. The other doctors just thought I was being a baby. I have learned that I have to trust myself and push if I strongly feel something.
(I am writing this a year later and unfortunately I am still taking Asprin daily to keep the blood clot away. If I am cleaning too much or using that arm a lot than my arm swells up and the blood clot builds back up. I wish there was more we could do but there isn't. It is a superficial vain so it can't go to my heart of lungs- thank goodness. But it is still really annoying.)

End of Summer Fun!- Summer 2012

Brooklynn and I went school shopping and then grabbed lunch!

Love my cute, crazy girl!

Brooklynn tried on these crazy shoes at the store. (We did not get them) But we did get McKenna some cute sparkly shoes.

McKenna got her first haircut. With what little hair she had.

At the Elementary Open House, Brooklynn got to meet her first grade teacher Kylee Hansen. We can tell we will like her a lot.

Budd Family Reunion- August 2012

We had a Budd Family Reunion up in Heber. There were cute little cabins and fun things to do. Ryan and I didn't stay overnight, but we went to see everyone.

My mom brought Grandma and Grandpa up to see everyone and say hi. Of course Grandma and Celeste were happy to be with each other.

The kids favorite thing was the firepit.

My cousin Jessica's boys on the left with my brother Josh's son Zack on the right. They all look so much a like.
It is always fun being with the Budds.

Family Home Evening- Summer 2012

The kids LOVE the book Goodnight Moon. So for FHE we decided to act it out.

It was so funny. They did such a good job. It is crazy that all 3 kids practically have the story memorized.

The next week we kept on the story theme and they had different ideas to write a story.
Then they each drew one out.

The story was about a Knight named Randolf who goes to school and gets bad grades.

They drew pictures first and then told me what to write.

Ta Da! A story by the Oldroyd kids! Look for it in book stores.
