Random September 2012

My cute Girlies! I am trying not to dress them totally alike, although, I think it is adorable. I do have my childhood memories of it being so embarassing. So I coordinate their outfits!

Thank goodness for our playroom in the basement.

The kids LOVE it so much!

McKenna mostly plays with the babies! And pretends to be a baby.

When Cameron gets worn out, he likes to lay and watch a movie on the bed.

Poor McKenna got sick!

The girl is exhausted, but just wants to sleep.

She falls asleep every where!

Even on Grandma's shoulder. We found out that she had an ear infection. YUCKY!

Cameron has started to discover Dinosaurs. He even watched a documentary on them. Maybe it will be something that he will really get into.

Daddy and Brooklynn doing homework together. Oh the joys in life!

Poor McKenna- September 2012

McKenna has had some bowel problems, not to be too descriptive, but she had white bowels. Which is not good at all. So we were sent over to Riverton to check things out.

She loved the little waiting area, but didn't get to play long.

They did an Ultra Sound first

McKenna was happy to watch cartoons to distract her.

But she got really nervous when she had to lay on her tummy. She was still brave though.

They also did an XRay. The Radiologist talked to me and said that she had a lot of Gas and some back up of bowels. But they weren't sure if something else was going on because of the white stool.

McKenna had to get some blood work done and she was brave. So we went to the store and bought her a little toy. Of course it was Olivia, her favorite!

So McKenna's organs all looked good and seemed to be functioning properly. But in the blood work it showed that she has really low Vitamins. They also took a stool sample and it showed that all her nutrients were not staying in her system, but were coming out. She is about 5 pounds under weight. That doesn't sound like a lot, but he explained it to me that it is comparable to an adult being 20-25 pounds under weight. I know everyone tells me she looks good, she is fine. I am not worried about how she looks, I want the inside of her body to function the way it is suppose to. I love all my kids and just want them to be healthy, happy kiddos.

Cameron started Preschool!

Cameron started Preschool at Miss Amy's. Brooklynn went to her too and loved her.

We read The Kissing Hand. It is a great book that helps kids when they go to school and are nervous. (still Brooklynn's 3rd year in school I kiss her hand every day for her to save if she needs it.)

With Brooklynn in school all day and Cameron gone 2 days a week we have more McKenna/Mommy time.

End of Summer Fun!- Summer 2012

Brooklynn and I went school shopping and then grabbed lunch!

Love my cute, crazy girl!

Brooklynn tried on these crazy shoes at the store. (We did not get them) But we did get McKenna some cute sparkly shoes.

McKenna got her first haircut. With what little hair she had.

At the Elementary Open House, Brooklynn got to meet her first grade teacher Kylee Hansen. We can tell we will like her a lot.

Summer started...

Summer began and so did the fun.

We went to my mom's and the kids played in tents.

McKenna liked looking at the fire.

Cameron wanted to touch the fire. Which stressed me out.

Brooklynn and Caleb liked the fire as well.

Mr. Luke scared me so bad around the fire.

At least his dad was around him.

Grandpa Budd came out to join the fun. Grandma stayed inside though.

Luckily Cameron calmed down which made me feel better. Ryan was at work so it was all me watching these two.  Brooklynn ended up sleeping over with her cousins.

Allergist

The rashes kept continuing and we were happy to finally get into the Allergist.

They did the back scratch test and we had to wait. She was so brave.

It wasn't anything extreme, but she did react to eggs, fish and a small reaction to wheat. I was so sad. Wheat and eggs????

Poor girl's whole face flushed up with the test.

They decided to do a blood test to see how badly her allergy was. The blood test came back really good. It showed such a small allergy. The doctor had us test it out. It seemed that she was okay with wheat. (thank heavens), but she still was having a reaction with anything that had egg baked in it. He had us take eggs completely out of her diet (although she hasn't had straight eggs yet, but cakes, cookies, corn dogs and anything else with egg.) Since then we have rarely seen a break out. We went back recently to retest and it was all almost negative, just a small reaction. The Allergist said that some people have no reaction on their back, nothing shows up in the blood work, but if they eat it they have a huge reaction. We are going to continue to avoid eggs and any kind of fish. In another year when McKenna is 3 we will do the taste test and see if she has any kind of reaction that way. She is too young now to tell us and we can't do it at home. We will be at the hospital and have the Epipen ready.

Poor sick McKenna

Poor McKenna started getting sick. Her cheeks would go bright red and she was sleepy. I took her to the doctor and she had a virus, that turned into an ear infection. She was put on Amoxicilin and she started to get better.

Suddenly she got worse again.

She was so sick and we didn't know what to do.

One of her sick-lazy days. I love this because I think her cute little face looks like a cabbage patch doll.

It was a Saturday morning and she broke out in a rash.

She was so sleepy.

The rash just kept getting worse.

You can't see it too well, but it was all over her body. By Saturday afternoon I took her to the Instacare. Because the fact that she had a virus and was on Amoxicilin and the way her rash looked- they diagnosed her with Erythemal Multiforme. Basically you can get it from either the virus or Amox.Since she had both they couldn't decide which, but at this point said she is allergic to all Penicillins. We were told that it could take up to 6 weeks until she was normal again. It was a disease that could even be life threatening. It scared me so much.

A day or so later the rash turned really dark and she had maroon spots all over her. It looked aweful. Poor baby!

This was a picture from the InstaCare. After 4 days the rash was completely gone. Not a sign of it at all. Wow, that was fast. It didn't take even the minimum 2 weeks.

After almost a week the rash apeared again. I thought that seemed really weird. Everything that I read said that it would stay for the minimum up to 6 weeks. It was weird. I took her to our pediatrician twice. Bot doctors we saw said that it probably wasn't Erythemal Multiforme. Thank goodness, but we weren't quite sure what it was.

McKenna would get better and then the rash would come back. It was so aweful.

She would get random spots.

And her cheeks would get all flushed. It was really hard and they did some blood work. Finally the doctor decided to send us to an Allergist.  More to come....
