Poor sick McKenna

Poor McKenna started getting sick. Her cheeks would go bright red and she was sleepy. I took her to the doctor and she had a virus, that turned into an ear infection. She was put on Amoxicilin and she started to get better.

Suddenly she got worse again.

She was so sick and we didn't know what to do.

One of her sick-lazy days. I love this because I think her cute little face looks like a cabbage patch doll.

It was a Saturday morning and she broke out in a rash.

She was so sleepy.

The rash just kept getting worse.

You can't see it too well, but it was all over her body. By Saturday afternoon I took her to the Instacare. Because the fact that she had a virus and was on Amoxicilin and the way her rash looked- they diagnosed her with Erythemal Multiforme. Basically you can get it from either the virus or Amox.Since she had both they couldn't decide which, but at this point said she is allergic to all Penicillins. We were told that it could take up to 6 weeks until she was normal again. It was a disease that could even be life threatening. It scared me so much.

A day or so later the rash turned really dark and she had maroon spots all over her. It looked aweful. Poor baby!

This was a picture from the InstaCare. After 4 days the rash was completely gone. Not a sign of it at all. Wow, that was fast. It didn't take even the minimum 2 weeks.

After almost a week the rash apeared again. I thought that seemed really weird. Everything that I read said that it would stay for the minimum up to 6 weeks. It was weird. I took her to our pediatrician twice. Bot doctors we saw said that it probably wasn't Erythemal Multiforme. Thank goodness, but we weren't quite sure what it was.

McKenna would get better and then the rash would come back. It was so aweful.

She would get random spots.

And her cheeks would get all flushed. It was really hard and they did some blood work. Finally the doctor decided to send us to an Allergist.  More to come....
