Visits to Grandma and Grandpa Budd

We love visiting Grandma and Grandpa Budd. They are like my second parents and the kids enjoy seeing them too.

 

 

 

Cam is especially lovable to them and enjoys giving great big hugs.

 

 

 

Random Summer fun.

July 2013

 

 

On July 11th (7-11) we went to 7-11 gas station for free slurpees after swimming lessons.

 

McKenna loves seeing Nemo, Marlin and Dori at the doctor's office.

 

She doesn't like getting poked though.

 

We had a movie night in the tent. The kids had a blast.

 

One of Brooklynn's good friends Ellie came back for a visit.

 

McKenna isn't the baby anymore. She loves holding her cousin Meghan.

Brooklynn is a great artist and decided she wanted to draw some pictures and sell it.

 

Just a few of her pictures. She is so talented. She made about $12 selling her pictures.

For Family Home Evening we talked about how we all have great worth. That sometimes we are lost, but we are loved so much by our Father in Heaven.

 

 

I am so lucky to have amazing Princesses.

 

 

And an awesome little Prince.

 

 

We watched Tangled as a family.

 

 

And of course Cameron had to dress up as Flynn Rider.

It was a fun night.

 

From July 2012

 

We decided to go on a family hike.

 

 

I was stylin' skinny jeans and tennis shoes.

(note to self: don't wear light colored jeans on a hike. they get dirty.)

 

 

 

Me and my Buddy, had a blast!

 

 

Brooklynn was sweatin' it out!

 

 

 

So was Cameron, it was hot and we went about 2 miles.

 

 

 

He had fun, he just doesn't like pictures.

 

 

McKenna didn't break a sweat!

 

 

We enjoyed a nice view going home too!

 

Swimming Lessons

 

The kids started doing swimming lessons at the beginning of the summer. Brooklynn loves it and Cameron hates it, but he slowly gets better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

McKenna wants to swim too. I have to distract her with fruit snacks.

I made them these fun little cupcakes. The mini cupcakes are in the bottom with frosting and then some crumbled cupcakes on top. Very festive. The kids loved them.

 

 

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Oldroyd's for a BBQ and play time.

 

 

McKenna wasn't too sure about the slide.
